Hackers say they just posted a massive new trove of T-Mobile customer data online – but the details of the data dump are in question.

Cyber thieves uploaded the data to a popular dark web forum, according to Cybernews.

The outlet’s researchers say a sample of the data appears to contain some emails linked to prior T-Mobile breaches, along with “some new data points not seen in previous T-Mobile attacks.”

But the mobile giant says the malicious actors are flat-out lying.

“Any reports of a T-Mobile data breach are inaccurate. We have reviewed the sample data provided and can confirm the data does not relate to T-Mobile or our customers.”

Researchers say the data contains full names, dates of birth, tax IDs, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, device IDs, cookie IDs and IP addresses.

“If this data is legitimate, exposing 64M lines of highly sensitive information poses a serious threat of identity theft/fraud, surveillance, and further, better-targeted attacks on customers.”

The alleged data dump comes as 76 million T-Mobile customers begin to receive their share of a $350 million payout following a 2021 data breach and class action settlement.

64,000,000 T-Mobile Records Containing Highly Sensitive Customer Data Allegedly Leaked Online As Mobile Giant Refutes Attackers’ Claims

A widely followed crypto strategist who continues to grow his following with timely Bitcoin calls believes that BTC is setting the stage for a push toward new record high levels.

In a new strategy session, pseudonymous analyst Credible tells his 70,500 YouTube subscribers that if demand for Bitcoin ramps up, it is possible for BTC to consolidate above $100,00 before sparking the next leg up.

The trader also says that Bitcoin’s bullish market structure will not be invalidated even if BTC drops all the way down to $92,000.

“In the most bullish scenario… this green zone ($100,000 to $105,000) would hold and we’d form a tightening consolidation and then rip to the upside in the impulse…

So in this scenario, Bitcoin basically really just does go sideways here. And in case, a lot of the altcoins that I’m looking at have little leg down left to hit the ideal buy zones across the board on a number of alts that I’m looking at.

And that’s why I think that Bitcoin could make one more lower low, potentially in the zone here ($92,000 to $95,00), or in the most bullish case, just go sideways while alts bleed a little bit.”

While Credible thinks that Bitcoin is gearing up for rallies to new all-time highs, he highlights that it is still within the realm of possibility for BTC to plunge below $90,000 or even $80,000, according to the principles of Elliott Wave Theory.

Elliott Wave Theory states that a bullish asset tends to witness a five-wave rally, where waves one, three and five are moves to the upside, while waves two and four are corrective periods.

Says Credible,

“The correction isn’t complete, and so we’re not quite ready yet to take off… If the correction isn’t complete, it doesn’t mean that if we break this low here at $100,000, that all of a sudden things have changed and it’s terrible.

No.

Again, since we’ve completed this impulse (from $74,000 to $112,000), the correction that follows, which we’re in right now, can go down to $97,000. It can go down to $91,000. It can even go down to $85,000. It doesn’t make a difference as long as it’s above the origin ($74,000).”

Looking at the trader’s chart, he seems to suggest that Bitcoin is in the midst of consolidating within a major wave three rally that started when Bitcoin dropped to $74,000 in April and is en route toward a new all-time high of $238,000.

But Credible warns that his wave three outlook for BTC will be invalidated if Bitcoin drops below $74,000.

At time of writing, Bitcoin is trading for $105,379.

Trader Predicts Rallies to New All-Time High for Bitcoin Amid Struggle To Clear $110,000 – But There’s a Big Catch

price could soon become more volatile, possibly leading to the next leg higher in the cryptocurrency.

This indicator is based on the gap between the bollinger bands, which are volatility bands placed two standard deviations above and below the 20-week simple moving average of the cryptocurrency's price.

When the gap widens, it indicates that the market is more active and volatile – a phenomenon historically observed ahead of significant upward moves in BTC. When the gap narrows, it indicates less activity.

The gap, also known as the bollinger band spread, could soon widen in a positive sign for the bulls, as the MACD histogram linked to the same gap has turned positive.

Using the spread between the bollinger bands as input in the MACD histogram generates bullish or bearish volatility signals, identifying periods of turbulence and calm. Traders typically use the indicator to detect trend reversals in prices.

The upper pane displays bitcoin's weekly open, high, low, and close (per UTC) in candlestick format. The middle pane displays the spread, or the gap between the bollinger bands, with the MACD linked to the spread in the lower pane.

The MACD has now flipped positive, indicating a renewed widening of the spread or volatility boom ahead. By default, volatility is price-agnostic, meaning an impending activity could be bullish or bearish.

That said, a closer look at the above chart reveals that previous positive crossovers of the MACD (marked by vertical lines) presaged major bull runs, including the late 2020 and late 2024 price rallies.

Bitcoin (BTC) News: Price Volatility Signal Goes Off – Is a Surge Ahead?

A widely followed trader believes that a layer-1 decentralized exchange (DEX) altcoin is gearing up for rallies to new all-time highs.

Pseudonymous analyst Altcoin Sherpa tells his 248,500 followers on the social media platform X that he thinks Hyperliquid (HYPE) looks very strong despite the recent marketwide correction.

The trader sees HYPE consolidating close to the highs for now before igniting a fresh leg up en route to a new record high.

“HYPE has insane strength right now, this one got bought up quickly. wouldn’t be surprised to see a bit more chop around here but $50+ is destined, even in these crazy times.”

At time of writing, HYPE is worth $40.44.

While Altcoin Sherpa is bullish on HYPE, he says he’s bearish on two Solana (SOL)-based memecoins. The trader notes that dogwifhat (WIF) and Popcat (POPCAT) are both in the midst of a downtrend and may drop to much lower levels if BTC fails to print new all-time highs.

“Moment of truth for many of these [coins] soon; that could have just been a lower high formed. It’s all going to be dependent on BTC. If we see it blast through the highs, we’re going up again. If not, alts probably go [down] another 30-50%. Can see some examples with WIF, POPCAT.”

Based on the trader’s chart, he seems to predict that POPCAT could fall to as low as $0.22. At time of writing, POPCAT is worth $0.31.

Looking at the trader’s chart, he seems to suggest that WIF could plunge to $0.60. At time of writing, WIF is trading for $0.839.

Trader Says One Layer-1 Altcoin ‘Destined’ for New All-Time High, Warns of Potential 50% Correction for WIF and POPCAT

Billionaire Chamath Palihapitiya is predicting a resurgence of the American balance sheet and an influx of new capital into the US.

In a new episode of the All-In podcast, Palihapitiya says current forecasts of the US economy are overly negative and don’t factor in the potential development of two events.

According to Palihapitiya, President Trump’s tariffs are likely on track to contribute an extra $300 billion in receipts to the US government’s current account in what he says is a big positive for the economy.

The investor says that when factoring in the likelihood of at least 100 basis points in Fed rate cuts, the US is on track to save $300 billion as well – meaning a total of $600 billion in revenue boosts to the United States, providing a big jump to overall confidence in the American economy and markets.

“We all thought that this was like a bogeyman that you weren’t allowed to touch it, and if you touched the stove, you’re going to get burned. The mathematical reality is that this is actually going to work out much better for us than we anticipated, and it’s going to be somewhere in the range of $300 to $400 billion of extra revenue per year. That’s a huge win.

So why is that important? That then sets up this next cataclysmic thing that we’re going to see in the next 60 days, which is, what does Jerome Powell do? If Jerome Powell stays politicized, his incentive will be to keep interest rates where they are.

If Jerome Powell looks at the conditions on the ground, especially when you start seeing inflation stay in the low 2s, and approach 2.0, the real thing that he’s going to be under tremendous pressure to justify is ‘Why are you not cutting?’

And just to give you a sense of how important that is, if we cut by a hundred basis points, that’s another $300 billion. In that case, that’s not money we get in, but it’s money we don’t have to spend.

So if you add these two things together, we are in the next 60 days, going to have to reforecast the American balance sheet where this is, or we’re actually going to be able to positively forecast an extra $600 billion – $300 billion of incremental revenue and $300 billion of savings.

If that happens, watch out. It means that every single risked dollar is going to run to America. Every single one. Forget Japan, forget Europe, there is no place to put your money except the United States.”

‘Forget Japan, Forget Europe’ – Billionaire Chamath Palihapitiya Sees Massive Dollar Inflows Into US in Next 60 Days if Two Predictions Unfold

An accountant and adjunct business instructor from Scranton, Pennsylvania, is sentenced to federal prison for her involvement in a multi-state business email compromise scheme.

In a statement, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa says that 63-year-old Margo Ann Williams laundered $800,000 of proceeds from a scheme that was carried out between December 2022 and July 2023.

According to evidence presented at the trial, the email accounts of the five victims – a Cedar Rapids church, two businesses, a non-profit and an individual – were hacked while they were in the process of making large wire and automatic clearinghouse (ACH) transfers.

The victims received spoofed emails containing instructions to change the routing information for the wire and ACH transfers. Believing that the emails were from legitimate and trusted sources, the victims instructed their banks to wire the funds according to the supposed new payment instructions.

The funds were rerouted to bank accounts that Williams controlled.

She subsequently relocated the funds to other bank accounts under her control before transferring the money to two crypto exchanges and another person in Florida.

The banks discovered William’s fraudulent activities and closed her accounts, but she kept opening new ones at other banks in an effort to keep the scheme alive. She earned approximately $25,000 from the operation and spent the funds on many personal purchases, including an Apple watch and a luxury bag.

Williams, who claimed that she perpetrated the scheme at the direction of a famous British actor with whom she became romantically involved, was sentenced to four years in prison. She’s also ordered to pay $594,037 in restitution to her victims and must also serve a three-year term of supervised release following her imprisonment.

Woman To Serve Four Years in Prison for Role in $800,000 Business Email Hack That Tricked Victims Into Sending Fraudulent Bank Wires

President Donald Trump has reportedly pocketed tens of millions of dollars in income from World Liberty Financial (WLFI), his family-backed decentralized-finance platform.

According to a new report from the New York Post, records released by the Office of Government Ethics show that Trump’s stake in WLFI raked in just over $57.3 million for him, one of his largest sources of income in the past year.

WLFI, which was launched last year, was co-founded by Trump’s three sons – Donald Jr., Eric and Barron – and others as a response to what they say is the growing politicization of the banking system. Previously, Donald Trump Jr. said that his family was debanked after getting into politics and described the banking system as a “pyramid scheme.”

“There was a time… where I could call any single banker in New York City, they’d pick up the phone [and] I’d be able to get a loan for whatever real estate project I was doing across the street. Then we got into politics, and all of a sudden, they wouldn’t take your call. You couldn’t get financing. We were debanked.”

The disclosure reports that Trump’s personal crypto wallet is valued at between $1,000,001 and $5 million while listing millions of dollars worth of royalty payments he received for selling items with his name and likeness.

Some of the President’s noteworthy liabilities include $100 million worth of mortgage loans for various properties, hundreds of millions of dollars worth of lawsuits and tens of thousands of dollars worth of credit card bills.

President Trump Discloses $57,355,532 in Crypto Income From World Liberty Financial: Report

A crypto strategist who nailed the 2022 Bitcoin bottom believes that one major investor cohort will catalyze a brutal bear winter for BTC.

Pseudonymous analyst DonAlt tells his 670,400 followers on the social media platform X that Bitcoin treasury companies will be the source of tremendous selling pressure in the next bear market.

Data from BitcoinTreasuries shows that private and public companies across the globe hold 1,112,904 BTC worth more than $117.445 billion at time of writing.

Says DonAlt,

“Bitcoin treasury companies… will be the reason for the next bear market being as violent as prior bear markets, and no one can convince me otherwise.

Good Ponzi while they’re going though so keep going.”

According to DonAlt, the next Bitcoin bear market could be as devastating as the one witnessed in 2018 when BTC collapsed from $20,000 to $3,000.

“Whatever the top ends up being, 70-80% down from that would be my guess.”

While DonAlt sees a crippling Bitcoin bear market once BTC tops out this cycle, he remains bullish on the crypto king for now. In a new strategy session, he says that a Bitcoin move below a key support level could trigger an over 11% correction from current levels.

“If we set a new low below $101,000, I could easily see us wipe towards $95,000 if not $90,000 pretty quickly.”

Another operation, Million Smiles, used spiritual connections and sham “ancestral treasures” to scam 400 people and 100 businesses out of more the $1.1 million worth of a token called QFS.

Wynn parlayed that momentum into highly leveraged trades on the Hyperliquid platform, becoming what many called “the most aggressive trader alive.” By mid-2025, he had amassed over $87 million in trading gains.

The Hyperliquid Saga: Leverage, Losses & Fees

Wynn’s trading strategy was brutally simple: go big, and go leveraged. According to on-chain trackers like Hyperdash and Lookonchain, Wynn executed 39 trades, 17 of which were profitable—a 43.59%-win rate.

His biggest win came from a PEPE long, netting over $25 million. He also banked $16.8 million from a Bitcoin long and another $6.8 million from TRUMP token. Even Fartcoin (yes, that’s real) brought him nearly $5 million.

But the wins didn’t come free. Wynn reportedly paid Hyperliquid over $2.3 million in trading fees. His loyalty to the platform is unwavering.

“They want me to trade on Bybit. I won’t stop using Hyperliquid even if they offer me $1M a month,” he posted on X.

Still, the cost of his risky trades is catching up. In May alone, Wynn lost $15.86 million on a single short BTC position. Other losses include nearly $3.7 million on ETH, $1.6 million on SUI, and multiple six-figure drawdowns on various meme tokens.

Recently, the crypto community was hit with news claiming Wynn was liquidated for over $2 million, leading to speculation that his empire was crashing. But the trader fired back swiftly:

“There was no $2M liquidation. Just open trades in drawdown. FUD narrative from people who want engagement,” Wynn stated.

Blockchain watchers found that his BTC 40x leveraged position came dangerously close to liquidation—with a price difference of just $40. But Wynn insists he’s still in control and not “rekt.”

“I’m an investor, not a dev. I don’t control the narrative, the community does,” he posted in response to the MOONPIG backlash.

He added that his promotions are not guarantees of success, nor are they endorsements to hold blindly. Yet the timing of some of his exits has led many to suspect otherwise.

An elderly man lost his entire life savings to an elaborate scam that drained his bank account, ending his retirement plans.

65-year-old Hiep Nguyen of Houston, Texas, says he received a phone call with the caller ID of the “Vietnam Embassy,” the embassy of his native country, the local news station KPRC-2 reports.

But Nguyen says answering that phone call led him to lose $500,000 – the entirety of his life’s work.

“I lost maybe $500,000… I may be homeless now.”

The con artists who masterminded the scam convinced Nguyen that his identity was being used to commit various crimes overseas, like money laundering, and in order to clear his name, the soon-to-be-retired man supposedly had to wire over his money to another bank.

The criminals, who are yet to be identified, used an encrypted messaging app called Viber to send wire transfer details, along with fake government documents to make it seem more legitimate.

After losing everything, Nguyen’s daughter, Kathy, is now supporting him, and says she is in the process of selling her house to make ends meet.

Says Kathy,

“Watch out for your family. Your mom, dad, grandma, grandpas. Just let them know that something like this could happen, and just be careful.”

The Nguyens have filed a report with the FBI, but at time of writing, the scammers are at large.

65-Year-Old Forced Out of Retirement After Losing ‘Everything’ in Elaborate Bank Fraud Scam

Walmart, Amazon, and other massive global companies are reportedly looking into the benefits of having their own stablecoins.

According to a new report by The Wall Street Journal, anonymous people familiar with the matter say that some of the world’s largest retailers are considering issuing their very own dollar-pegged crypto assets in the US in an effort to save billions of dollars in transaction fees.

Such a move would mark a major shift away from the traditional finance system, which includes the nation’s largest banks and credit providers. Other firms that are reportedly exploring the potential use of stablecoins include Expedia Group and unnamed airline companies.

Stablecoins are digital assets pegged to other assets – such as the dollar, precious metals, or other crypto assets – and are typically backed on a one-to-one basis. Stablecoins have been gaining traction recently due to their low transaction fees and faster payment processing times.

The firms’ decisions may ultimately depend on the fate of the GENIUS Act, a stablecoin bill still making its way through Congress and yet to pass either chamber.

The GENIUS Act, introduced earlier this year, aims to establish a regulatory framework for alternative payment systems, opening the door for new players to compete with giants like Visa and MasterCard.

The sources say that Amazon’s stablecoin exploration has mostly revolved around creating one for online purchases, while Walmart has lobbied to change the GENIUS Act to introduce more competition in the credit-card sector.

The firms are also considering how to use existing stablecoins if they decide not to create their own.
